When you want to offer your condolences to someone, it is often difficult to find the right words. You can write your own message on the card, or choose from our selection of condolence cards with pre-printed messages.
Many people find it difficult to write a message. If you did not know the deceased very well, it can be difficult to write an appropriate message.
Remember that sending a card is always appreciated and that a simple (or even pre-printed) message can be enough.
For people you know better, you can also write a personal message. You can also use a poem or say something about what the deceased meant to you.
“My condolences on the loss of.... Stay strong....”
“I would like to express my sympathy on the passing of.... Stay strong....”
If you knew the person very well, you can write that you are “thinking of you during these difficult days.” That “the loss of your ... must be very hard for you.” You can talk about what the deceased meant to you.
There are no real rules for texts, but write the condolence cards by hand: that will certainly come across as more personal.
