If you want to offer your condolences to someone, it is often difficult to find the right words. You can write a text on the card yourself, or choose from our condolence cards on which a text is pre-printed.
Many people find it difficult to write a text. If you do not know the deceased very closely, it can be difficult to write a suitable text.
Remember that sending a card is always appreciated and that a simple (or even pre-printed) message can suffice.
For people you know better, you can also write a personal text. You can also use a poem or tell something about what the deceased meant to you.
“My condolences for the loss of…. Much strength….”
“I would like to express my condolences on the passing of… Much strength…”
If you knew the person very personally, you can write that "you are in thoughts these days." That "the loss of your ..... must be very hard for you." You can tell what the deceased meant to you.
There are no real rules for texts, but write the condolence cards by hand: This will certainly come across as more personal.
